In this episode, we're going to attempt to settle the age-old argument of whether the classic action film Die Hard is or is not a Christmas movie. More specifically we answer the question, "Is the movie that launched Bruce Willis to A-list status a Christmas movie in the most traditional sense?" The short answer is yes. The long answer is...well, that's what we address in this episode. We lay out all of the stone-cold evidence as to why it belongs up there with holiday films like Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life and Home Alone. We make such astute observations as "John McCLane and Kevin McCallister are basically the same person." We also cover the allegorical aspects of the film (McLane and the movie itself embody the truest meaning of Christmas). If you're part of the 25% who believe this timeless classic is a Christmas movie, then allow us to add some more ammo to your arsenal. If you're one of the non-believers but are willing to hear us out, then listen in and try to have an open mind.
