It's often said that sound and music make up 50% of a movie's effectiveness. When you drop out sound, and especially music, you lose most, if not all, of the emotional impact. Some of these movies contain original songs while others, like Tarantino's films, are perfectly curated for the movie and the scenes in which they appear.
